Manifest BRIDGE Scholarship
Covering partial or full cost to Manifest Open Sessions and
Professional Development Workshops
[ APPLY HERE ]
Upon leaving the environment of academia and moving into the workforce, it is often one’s art practice that is sacrificed. How do you sustain the vigor and intensity of your artistic practice after you leave the facilities and structure of your art program? How do you find colleagues and ‘talk art’ outside of a classroom? The Manifest Bridge Scholarship aims to provide emerging artists with access to Manifest’s Open Sessions and Professional Development Workshops, bridging the gap between being an art student and art professional.
Qualifications (How can I get a scholarship?)
The Manifest Bridge Scholarship is open to anyone who has graduated from a post-secondary institution (university, art school, community college) in the last 5 years, having majored in art or design. These things will be required in order for you to be considered for a Manifest Bridge Scholarship:
- Proof that you graduated with an art or design degree in the last 5 years. Please send a scan of your diploma or academic transcripts in the form of a PDF.
- Portfolio of work: 10 jpeg images or online portfolio url link, highlighting artwork (any medium) made within the last 5 years. Please limit jpegs to <200dpi
- Short artistic bio
Please submit all supplementary material to Adam Mysock at email@example.com
Programs (What does a scholarship give me?)
The Manifest Bridge Scholarship can cover entrance fees into Drawing Center programs especially suited to sustaining artistic skills and practice, and towards building a sense of artistic community. These programs provide opportunities to draw from the life model, and to participate in professional development workshops aimed at making better artists, and making artists better. Specific award amounts will be determined by our committee, primarily based on the materials provided in the application.
Programs include (but are not limited to):
- Weekly Open Figure Life Drawing Sessions*
