statement

My studio practice centres on the human figure and is fuelled by a fascination in human nature. I begin with observational drawing and move towards a more subjective interpretation in an attempt to create a mood that is psychologically suggestive. Within my drawings elements unfold as the surface is reworked, building a framework of underlying structures before eventually reaching a conclusion.
