creative research gallery and drawing center
a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit organization

On September 1, 2023 our major milestone 20th season officially began. Our recently concluded annual fund surpassed previous records for number of donors and geographic radius of support, while over the past several years regional operational funding from grants has decreased, making the support of individuals a critical lifeline for our organization, staff, and programming.

Please donate today! We provide six options below..
(You can also donate instantly HERE.)

Each year the Manifest Annual Fund runs
from Sept. 1st - Aug. 31st.

This operational fund is provided by individual donors, community members, teachers, program participants, and artists from around the world who believe in Manifest, and who value the essential role of the visual arts and artists in our world. These individual contributions fill the gap left over from other funding received from various grants, the Ohio Arts Council, and other granting agencies. Without this supportive global community Manifest would not exist. (Season 19's Annual Fund was provided by the donations from 40 states and three countries!)

Season 20 will be consequential year for Manifest as we continue major steps in our evolution into The Manifest Center for the Visual Arts. It marks the end of an era, and a turning point for our organization. We continue to need many friends to help make our vision real.

SUPPORT MANIFEST SEASON 20 TODAY!

Manifest is a community-supported 501(c)(3) non-profit organization

EVERY YEAR

Every year our donors contribute about 20% of Manifest's operating costs, making what we do possible!
This covers our entire facility costs for all Manifest offices, galleries, artist residency studios, and our Drawing Center studios and darkroom in East Walnut Hills and Clifton! It helps us keep the costs of tuition and participation fees at levels similar to what they were 20 years ago, thereby making our programs accessible.

This season continues the additional impact of membership. Every year an amount equivalent to 10% of each season's Annual Fund contributions are designated as tuition waivers for two scholarship funds for Drawing Center programs—a merit scholarship for high school and college students, and a 'bridge fund' to support the transition of emerging artists from academia into a career in the arts through study and professional development in the artist-culture at the Manifest Drawing Center. So, not only does community support sustain our essential facilities, without which we could not do what we do, it also empowers Manifest's support of individual artists at a formative stage in their development.

As a community-minded 501(c)(3) non-profit arts organization, founded upon ideals formed both in academic pursuit and a commitment to quality urban living, Manifest relies heavily on private donations to cover operating costs. Since 2004 the Manifest board of directors has taken serious measures to insure that Manifest is a low-cost/maximum benefit presence in East Walnut Hills, Walnut Hills, and Greater Cincinnati, and a progressive influence on the arts in our region and around the world. Our goal is to provide a context for the study and experience of excellent visual art, without making compromises otherwise necessary in a commercial art-dealing gallery or larger organization. Through its rich programming Manifest brings the world to Cincinnati, and represents Cincinnati to the world, one work of art at a time. Manifest starts with the artist and radiates outwards from there.
