statement

I have always been interested in literary female characters whose subjectivity is described in a heightened visual way, usually through a significant encounter in the landscape. I take cues from cinema, fairy tales, and dreams to construct paintings in which the female figure is emblematic of the discomfort of conflicting fantasies of display and negation.
