Drawing helps me break down my day. It turns seconds into strokes, it turns time into building blocks, it helps me see what it is that I am building. I believe that artists cannot but help pour the undergrowth of themselves into their work, which means that in some way every drawing is a self portrait, a love poem, or a journal entry; simply put, an expression of their current reality. In my own work, the act of drawing helps me analyze, while the product of drawing gives me a physical manifestation of my story.

The work that I am currently making explores themes of complicated relationships; the push and pull of sharing the sacred, the vital, the innards, with another being and the simultaneous beauty and struggle that erupts from that space.
