	Cast Drawing is an intensive 5-day drawing workshop where students will learn how to construct an accurate cast drawing, how to believably model simple and complex forms within their appropriate context, and how to finish a drawing. Drawing from the plaster cast is one of the best methods to learn to sharpen one's eye, to learn to be efficient in the development of a drawing, and to learn to create the illusion of 3-dimensions on a 2-dimensional surface. At the end of the course, each student will have taken at least part of his/her drawing—if not the entire drawing—through every step of the finishing process. In addition to concentrated, individual instruction, demonstrations will be given throughout the workshop to help illustrate many of the concepts and techniques necessary for the project. 	COST: $395 Tuition covers the cost of the 30-hour workshop. Materials and supplies are not provided. Tuition is non-refundable except in the event of complete workshop cancellation. LEVEL OF STUDY: This workshop will benefit all levels of draftsmanship, from the cast drawing novice to the most experienced. The instructor will work with students on an individual basis. More information about the instructor is provided below. TERM: This is a ONE WEEK workshop. SCHEDULE: Monday - Friday, August 9-13, 10a.m.-5p.m. (including one-hour lunch break) ENROLLMENT: Minimium - 5 Limit - 12 LOCATION: Hosted at Manifest's Drawing Center Studio (147-153) in the ESSEX Studios Complex at 2511 Essex Place (see map and directions below). About the instructor:

A native of Cincinnati, OH, Shane Wolf has since traveled far and wide as an avid backpacker and student of fine art and design.
He currently lives and works in Paris, France.

After completing a degree in Graphic Design (Magna Cum Laude) from the University of Cincinnati’s College of Design, Architecture, Art and Planning, Wolf went on to study at the prestigious Angel Academy of Art in Florence, Italy (www.angelartschool.com), where he has also served as a professor of drawing and painting. Through this mastery of classical realist drawing and painting, Wolf has cultivated a proficiency in rigorous academic fine art of the highest caliber and poetic skill. Two of his works, a painting and a drawing, were inlcuded in Manifest's first annual NUDE exhibit in 2009.

Wolf is the recipient of multiple awards, including the Hudson River Fellowship and the Art Renewal Center International Salon’s top finalist awards for drawing and still life. With an extensive exhibition history, both nationally and internationally, Wolf has established himself as a contemporary master of figurative fine art.
