Object Drawing is a ten-week sequential course providing guided instruction in drawing from objects (aka. still-life). The course is structured to serve a wide range of skill-sets on an individual basis.
Lessons will focus on drawing in black and white media in order to emphasize problems of structure, light and shadow, as well as composition.
As it progresses, the class will explore how evocative content can be achieved by way of skillful selection and arrangement of subject matter. Through the ten week process students will gain, or reinforce, a clear undestanding of the role of the basic principles of design relative to drawing from life.
If learning to draw is learning to see, then this class, like all Manifest offerings, will open a window into the world for seeing everything in new ways.
