statement

Through my art I explore representational image making and what lies beyond its surface descriptions.  Aerial photography acts as the underlying framework in my current series.  The triptych, "Beautiful Thing", reconstructs narratives told by my grandmother, alongside themes found in nature.  I encourage the subconscious to play a part in my work, looking for combinations to emerge that describe universal life experiences or qualities of the human condition.  It is my belief that we draw from a common pool of thoughts and dreams to make up one taproot growing through this point in history.
