statement

make drawings (pen and ink, or watercolor and inks, sometimes metallic, sometimes with gold leaf, coffee, or glue) without reference to a model. I also make stop-motion animations and illustrations. Sometimes my art is representational and sometimes not; sometimes very meticulous and other times not; sometimes in black and white, sometimes in greys, and other times in color. Sometimes the body is monstrous and other times not. I want to make an art that invokes what is admirable, yet is demanding of its viewers and that acknowledges the pain of our existence. This Mosaic belongs to a series some of which have color, others do not; some fill the sheet of paper completely, others do not.
