statement

I was born on the East Rand in 1960, finished school in '77 and obtained an Air Force diploma in photography in 1980 while fulfilling military duties. I Worked at various daily newspapers as a press photographer until 1991. I won the 1988 title of Illford Press Photographer of the year. After leaving the industry, I worked at a tertiary education institution, Technikon Pretoria as staff photographer and occasional lecturer. Freelancing since then. The last four to five years I have been specialising and focusing more intently on industrial photography,both commissioned and fine art work and the eventual publishing of photography books about the various subjects covered.
