On Friday, December 7th, Manifest's Drawing Center Studio will be open to the public during the Essex Studios Art Walk event.
Manifest staff will be on hand and light refreshments will be available.
The Drawing Center promotes, features, and explores drawing as a rich and culturally significant art form through the pursuit of scholarly activities. This studio is one aspect of that Mission. Three figure drawing sessions are offered in this space each week, serving approximately 36 participants, young and old. A new program of Open Critique will be added to the roster of offerings for fall term.
In addition to seeing a real-world studio environment where dozens of people share the pursuit of excellence in drawing the human figure, hundreds of drawings will also be on view. These will be left 'in situ' as they are during the weekly sessions. Fast, detailed, sketchy, gestural, exquisite, rough, and inspiring works will all be mingled together to reveal the vast culture of creativity these programs inspire.
This is Creative Research on display!
Hosted at Manifest's Drawing Center Studio (147-153) in the ESSEX Studios Complex
in Walnut Hills (see map and directions below). The studio is a 1700 square-foot
sky lit studio space.
